CGPC announces 30-bed hospital in Jamshedpur

Government to provide all possible support in building the hospital: Vice Chairman Matharu

Jamshedpur: A grand religious congregation was organized by the Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) at Sakchi Gurdwara Sahib on the occasion of the Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Jharkhand Government Minority Commission Vice Chairman Jyoti Singh Matharu was the special guest. On this occasion, the Central Gurdwara Committee honored him with a memento and a shawl for his commendable work. In his address, Vice Chairman Jyoti Singh Matharu assured the CGPC of all possible support in the future and also assured them of all possible assistance from the government in the construction of the 30-bed hospital that the Central Committee is soon going to start.

On this occasion, shields were presented to the best Kirtani Jathas, middle and high schools, and all women’s Satsang groups who participated in the Nagar Kirtan that started from Sonari. Specifically, shields were presented to Sonari Gurdwara’s Balbir Singh, Gurdayal Singh, and Sakchi Gurdwara’s Nishan Singh and team, Dharam Prachar Committee, Akali Dal President Sukhdev Singh Khalsa, Giani Ravinder Singh, Central Sikh Naujawan Sabha’s Amrik Singh, Ranjit Singh, Central Sikh Women’s Satsang Sabha President Ravinder Kaur, Chairperson Kamaljit Kaur, General Secretary Sukhwant Kaur, and Paramjit Kaur. In addition, shields were also presented to the Palanquin Sahib driver Avtar Singh, Tarunpreet Singh for his excellent service in flower decoration, and Jaswant Singh and Joginder Singh Jogi of Jagriti Manch for showering flowers in front of the Palanquin Sahib on the roads. Furthermore, Harwinder Singh Mantu, President of Guru Nanak Seva Dal, was also honored for organizing a grand congregation every year on December 29, 30, and 31. Besides, Gurdeep Singh Saluja, Raghuvir Singh, and Jagtar Singh Nagi of Six Channel were also honored for their remarkable services.

In the competition results, Mango High School secured first place, Sakchi came second, and Telco and Burma Mines jointly took third position. In the middle school category, Mango and Bistupur stood first, Burma Mines and Teen Plate second, and Refugee Colony third. In the religious school category, Namda Basti and Teen Plate bagged first place, Tayla Dugri came second, and Kitadih stood third. Among the Kirtani Jathas, Namda Basti II Gamharia was awarded first place. In the Sikh Women’s Satsang Sabha category, the first prize went to Sakchi B, Tayla Dugri, Bistupur, Anand Vihar, and Sitaram Dera. The second prize was given to Telco, Mango, Sonari, Sakchi A, and Ramdas Bhatta, while the third prize went to Namda Basti, Indira Nagar, Azad Basti, and Dashmesh Kirtani Jatha, Jugsalai. On this occasion, Parvinder Singh, Karnail Singh, Balwinder Singh, Jaimal Singh, Jaswant Singh, and Charanjit Singh, who served as judges, were also honored.

Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh provided information about all the doctors attending the Guru Ramdas Welfare Center OPD and requested that children from classes 8th to 12th be sent to the Sikh Vision Coaching Center for free coaching. He also announced the construction of a 30-bed hospital on the second floor of the CGPC office.

A special feature of this religious gathering was that Chairman Gurmeet Singh, in his address, supported making Bhagwan Singh the President for the next three years, considering the good work done by his team. This proposal was also endorsed by Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh and all the representatives of the Gurdwara Committees present, amidst chants of Bole So Nihal Sat Sri Akal. Earlier, Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh had already given his support. President Bhagwan Singh expressed his gratitude to the entire congregation and thanked all the Gurdwara Committees and organizations for their cooperation.
