Jamshedpur: Certificate Distribution Ceremony of Yuvak Dal & Mahila Seva Dal of various community centres of Urban Services was celebrated on May 25 at Dhatkidih Community Centre followed by colourful dance performances. About 11 community centres participated in this ceremony, where Namda Centre, Bagbera Centre, Baridih Centre, Kitadih Centre, Kasidih Centre, Tuiladungri Centre, Sonari Centre, received the certificates for the completion of the training of Yuvak Dal and Mahila Seva Dal.
Jiren Xavier Topno, Head, Tribal Culture, Urban Services graced the occasion as chief guest. He appreciated the initiatives of the Urban Services Department under the CSR Division of Tata Steel and also recommended that this initiative will help to build a bright and disciplined life of these youngsters.
Gurbari Hembram, Manager, Urban Services, All Area officers, all game instructors, volunteery instructors, staffs of Urban Services and Dhatkidih Community centre were present during the function.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks by N. K. Jha, UCM, Tata Workers Union, & Area Officer, Dhatkidih Community Centre.
Urban Services facilitates 2 years training camp for personality development of bustee children (boys & girls) to create Yuvak Dal and Mahila Seva Dal in its various centres. The basic aim of this training is to introduce local youths to a regimented way of life and helps in developing team work, leadership qualities, self-confidence, and self-reliance. Approximately 360 youths trained in every two years.
