Jamshedpur (Mail News Service): As part of the celebrations marking the Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, the Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC) will organize the Central Diwan on Wednesday afternoon at its office premises.
Following the conclusion of the Kirtan Darbar, the newly constructed CGPC Hall will be formally dedicated to the sangat, marking a significant milestone for the Sikh community in Jamshedpur. The inauguration is expected to enhance community gatherings and religious programs hosted by the committee.
Providing this information, CGPC President Bhagwan Singh and Chairman Sardar Shailendra Singh stated that before dedicating any newly constructed hall to the sangat, it is essential to organize a Kirtan Darbar and ensure the entry of the sangat. In accordance with this tradition, the Central Diwan is being organized this year in the newly built CGPC hall.
After the conclusion of the Central Diwan, school religious groups, women’s satsang sabhas, and other kirtani jathas that performed well during the Nagar Kirtan will be felicitated. Senior doctors who have been rendering free services at the Guru Ramdas Ji Bhalaai Kendra will also be honored by the CGPC. In addition, individuals who made significant contributions to the successful organization of the event will be recognized.
To ensure the success of the Central Diwan, a preparatory meeting was held under the chairmanship of President Bhagwan Singh. The meeting was attended by senior vice president Narendra Pal Singh, Chanchal Singh, Joginder Singh Jogi, General Secretary Amarjeet Singh, Gurcharan Singh Billa, Treasurer Gurnam Singh Bedi, Advisor Harvinder Singh Mantu, Sukhvinder Singh Raju, Parvinder Singh Sohal, Ajit Singh Gambhir, Sukhdev Singh Bittu, Sarabjit Singh Grewal, Surendra Singh Shinde, Hira Singh Sidhu, Gyani Kuldeep Singh, Taranpreet Singh Bani, Jaswant Singh Jassu, Prabhjot Singh Sen, Raghuveer Singh, Jagdeep Singh Milan, along with presidents and general secretaries of various gurdwara committees.
Office bearers of the Central Naujawan Sabha, including President Amrik Singh and General Secretary Sukhwant Singh Sukku, as well as members of the Central Women’s Satsang Sabha, were also present. Various gurdwara committees contributed to the Guru Ka Langar as part of the preparations.
