Jamshedpur, August 13: Addressing the preparatory meeting for Amrit Mahotsav program commemorating independence, Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato stated, “Countless brave women and men had sacrificed their lives to relieve the Motherland of foreign domain by fighting for freedom. Now it is our duty to honor their sacrifice and celebrate the freedom gifted to us by them, a freedom they presented us in exchange for their lives. We must celebrate the spirit of freedom while remembering the martyrdom of each of our freedom fighters.”
Mahato further underlined, “We are breathing the air of freedom on the strength of our independence. Hence, we should stay away from distractions walk on the right path. Only then can we live upto the significance of the Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.”
He appealed to the people of Jamshedpur to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign with gusto and spread the pride of Independent India among the people by ensuring one National Flag at every home on Independence Day.
