Jamshedpur: Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal conducted a surprise inspection of various examination centers on Sunday to ensure smooth and malpractice-free administration of the written examination for Chowkidar recruitment. The examination was held across 13 centers in the district under strict security arrangements.

As part of the inspection, Mittal visited Jamshedpur High School and Tata Workers Union School, Ulian, where he reviewed the arrangements and monitored law and order. He emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline and ensuring a fair examination process. At the centers, he inspected the CCTV surveillance rooms and checked the real-time monitoring systems to ensure no irregularities occurred.

“Strict measures have been implemented to ensure a malpractice-free examination. The deputed magistrates, police officers, and flying squads have been instructed to uphold order and discipline throughout the examination,” Mittal stated.

The written examination was conducted from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm under tight surveillance. Security protocols included mandatory frisking of candidates at entry points to prevent the use of unauthorized materials. Electronic gadgets such as mobile phones and smartwatches were strictly prohibited inside the examination halls.

In addition to CCTV cameras installed at all centers, videographers were assigned to record activities, ensuring transparency and accountability. The presence of Executive Magistrate Mrityunjay Kumar during the inspection further underscored the administration’s commitment to a fair examination process.

During his visit, Mittal interacted with the invigilators and administrative staff, reviewing the implementation of guidelines. He appreciated the efforts of the staff and reiterated the importance of vigilance to prevent any form of malpractice.
Candidates at various centers commended the smooth organization of the examination, with many expressing satisfaction over the strict measures that assured fairness.
The district administration has pledged to take stringent action against any individual found engaging in unethical practices. A control room was also set up to monitor the centers in real-time, ensuring immediate response to any untoward incidents.
Mittal concluded his inspection with a message to the examination officials, “Our priority is to ensure a peaceful, systematic, and transparent recruitment process. Let us uphold the trust of the candidates and the community.”
