Jamshedpur: State Advisory Committee has confirmed imposition of Crime Control Act (CCA) on five criminals of the city.
Four of these accused, Sudhir Dubey, Kanhaiyya Singh, Sonu Singh alias Vicky and Vinod Singh alias Mowgli are accused in transporter Upendra Singh murder case while one other, Shambhu Yadav is accused in a different case.
Sources said district police had recommended to the deputy commissioner to impose CCA on the five persons. Later, the state Home Ministry too, gave its recommendations.
The state advisory committee has finally approved the recommendations. Now the accused persons will not be able to get bail for three months.
The period may be extended to a maximum period of 12 months. The five accused are presently lodged in the Ghagidih Central Jail.
