Jamshedpur: The results of CAT 2024, conducted by IIM Kolkata, were announced late Thursday night. Ritwik Raj from Baridih Aastha Twin City, Jamshedpur, emerged as the state topper with an impressive 99.88 percentile.
Pratyush Raj Singh of Ranchi secured the second position in both the state and city rankings with a 99.59 percentile. Other top scorers from Jharkhand include Nilesh Shekhar (99.22), Md Jamshed (98.90), Amit Kumar (97.76), Sankalp Karan (97.24), Mayank Raj (96.97), Sumit Kumar Singh (96.05), Ankit Raj from Dhanbad (95.06), Shwet Sneha (93.7), and Ayush Kumar Dubey (92.89). Many of these achievers were coached at Times Ranchi and Career Launcher Institute.
Engineers Dominate the Top Ranks Nationwide
A total of 14 candidates across the country scored a perfect 100 percentile, with 13 of them being engineers. Among these toppers, there were 13 male candidates and just one female.
The breakdown of top percentiles further highlights the dominance of engineers:
– 100 Percentile: 14 candidates, 13 of whom are engineers.
99.99 Percentile: 29 candidates, 25 of whom are engineers.
99.98 Percentile: 30 candidates achieved this score.
State-Wise Performance
Maharashtra led the charts with the highest number of candidates scoring a perfect 100 percentile, followed by Delhi and Andhra Pradesh.
The CAT 2024 results reaffirm the trend of engineering graduates excelling in the competitive examination, solidifying their prominence in India’s premier management entrance test.
