Cash stolen from bank stairway in Kharsawan, cops clueless

Jamshedpur, Sept 21: Unidentified persons stole away cash worth Rs 12,000 from the possession of one Hemo Pradhan in Amda under Kharsawan block. They took the cash out of the woman�s bag by slitting it with razor when she was coming downstairs from Amda branch of Bank of India around 11.53 am. Later, when the woman put her hands into the bag to take out the cash, she found it missing. She informed the bank and local police officials about the incident.

Cops began investigation into the case by inspecting the CCTV footage obtained from the bank. It was found the woman had kept the cash in the bag inside the bank. Cops said there was no CCTV to cover the stairway which it made it difficult to find out as to who took away the cash.
