Jamshedpur, Jan 7: Unidentified thieves took away cash and ornaments worth Rs 75,000 from Ganga General Store situated at Gaushala Chowk under Jugsalai police station area in the wee hours of Tuesday, sources said.
Police registered an FIR on the complaint of the shop owner Virendra Kumar Sao. The latter said he had kept Rs 35,000 and a gold ring at his shop for his daughter�s ring ceremony slated to be held on 30th January.
Sao said he went home after closing the shop at 10 pm yesterday. In the morning, someone informed him that the lock of his shop was broken. Sao found only a one rupee coin in the safe box when he went inside.
