Cash and jewelry stolen in Kandra

Jamshedpur: Unidentified thieves took away cash worth Rs 4 lakh and jewelry from a quarter in SKG Colony at Kandra late Saturday night. There was no one in the house when the thieves entered it. The house owner Pradip Dikshit was away with his wife. One Pradip Mandal, a local youth, had been asked to sleep in the house. When he went to the quarter around 9 pm, he heard sound of someone running away from the quarter. When he went inside, he saw the doors open and almirah broken. The thieves could not take away the LCD. Cash worth Rs 5000 was kept on the bed.
