Case lodged against sexual exploitation on pretext of marriage

Jamshedpur, Jan 29: A young girl from Patamda thana area of East Singhbhum district has lodged a case against a youth of Seraikela for sexual exploitation on the pretext of marriage and then refusing to marry.

In a complaint lodged at the Patamda thana on Friday the girl has said that Arjun Singh a resident Baheda village under Nimdih thana area of Seraikela Kharsawan district had an affair with her and promised to marry her and established sexual relation seven months ago. However, when she pressurized him for marriage, the youth started threatening her and refused to marry. The matter reached their village panchayat and the youth also refused to marry there too.

After this she had to lodge a case in the thana. Police have sent the girl for medical test and will record her statement under Section 164 in the court. The accused is absconding after the complaint. Police is trying to nab the accused.
