CA’s role vital in this era of competition: ADC at ICAI seminar

Jamshedpur, June 19: In this era of global economic competition, the role of a chartered accountant (CA) is very vital. CA’s are making the businessmen and tax payers aware about the complexity regarding the tax payment, which is helping the tax payers to verify their ledger accounts and pay the income tax with honesty, said additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Sunil Kumar while addressing a seminar organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Jamshedpur Chapter at a city hotel on Saturday.

Two technical sessions were held after the inauguration. In the first session, CA Nitish Kumar More from Kolkata discussed about the Company Audit Report Order (CARO), while in the second session CA Manoj Kumar Tiwary from Kolkata held discussion on Income Computation Disclosure Standard (ICDS).

He also highlighted the provision about the deduction of 1% TCS and deposit it in the governments treasure on transaction above Rs 2 lakh.

Earlier, the welcome address was given by CA Vinod Agarwal, ICAI, Jamshedpur, president, and CA Manish Moonka, secretary of the branch.

CA Dayashankar, Kaushlendra Das, CA Ashok Kedia, Nandan Jaluka, Shishir Mishra, Pavan Periwal and others provided full support in making the event successful. More than 200 members of the ICA Jamshedpur branch participated in the seminar.
