Jamshedpur: The Environment Club of D.B.M.S. English School conducted Biswadeep Sarkar Memorial Environment Quiz in the school auditorium on Monday.
The quiz comprised five rounds based on Environmental facts, Videos, Pictures and visual rounds etc. and it was well organized. The audience was also asked questions. The participating teams showed their intellect and knowledge and eventually battled it out for the winning position.
20 reputed schools of Jamshedpur participated in the quiz contest. Five best teams qualified for the stage round. Since the quiz was organized by the Eco Club members of the D.B.M.S. English School, the host school did not participate in the quiz. Carmel Junior College secured the first position with 1200 points, followed by Little Flower School with 1150 points and Sacred Heart Convent School with 850 points.
This is an annual event organized by Eco-club of D.B.M.S. English School in memory of their beloved student “Biswadeep Sarkar”. This quiz aims to develop awareness for conserving and preserving our environment so that we may leave behind a better legacy for the future generations.
The Quiz was witnessed by Rajani Shekhar, Principal, D.B.M.S. English School, Lalitha Chandrashekhar (Jt.Chairperson), B. Chandrashekar (Jt.Chairperson), Hema Raghavan (Secretary), P.K.Sahu (Vice-Principal), Academic Co-ordinators and Eco-club Moderators Kamla Venkat and Sudha Dutta along with the students.
