Jamshedpur: The kindergarten students of Carmel Junior College celebrated International Yoga Day on June 23, with great enthusiasm and active participation. The event highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting emotional balance, focus and self-confidence among young learners in a fun, non-competitive environment.

The celebration began with a short introduction on the significance and benefits of yoga by the school’s yoga instructor, Miss Bindu. The young students, along with their teachers, took part in various yoga activities—from practicing the playful lion’s breath to confidently holding the tree pose. These mindful movements provided not only physical exercise but also emotional grounding and mental clarity for the little ones.

The Pre-Primary Coordinator, Sister Maya Peter, presented a token of appreciation to Miss Bindu, thanking her for guiding the children through the session with care and enthusiasm. The students and staff also expressed their gratitude to School Principal Sister Sharel for her constant encouragement and for creating opportunities for holistic growth.
