10-Year-Old Memory Marvel names 48 Asian countries in just 20 seconds, breaks record
Jamshedpur, March 8: A 10-year-old student from Jamshedpur has amazed teachers and classmates by setting a remarkable memory record. Shaurya Chandel, a Class IV student of Carmel Junior College Sonari, successfully recited the names of all 48 countries in Asia in just 20 seconds, showcasing exceptional memory and quick recall ability.
Shaurya’s achievement has quickly become the talk of the school and across the city. Remembering and accurately reciting so many country names at such incredible speed is considered a rare feat for someone of his age. Teachers say the young student has always shown a strong interest in general knowledge and memory-based learning.

With this performance, Shaurya broke the earlier record held by Guleka Sadhya, who had completed the task in 25 seconds. By doing so, he has created a new benchmark and earned admiration from his peers and teachers alike.
School authorities praised the young achiever for his dedication and talent. The principal of Carmel Junior College said the institution encourages students to develop not only academically but also in areas where they show special abilities. “Shaurya’s success proves that with determination, practice, and proper guidance, children can achieve extraordinary results even at a young age,” she said.
Shaurya’s family has also played a major role in supporting his journey. His father, Mukesh Singh, a businessman, and his mother, a bank employee, have constantly motivated him to pursue his interests. According to the family, it was his father who encouraged him to practise remembering country names and develop his memory skills.
The young student’s achievement has brought pride to his family, school, and the entire city of Jamshedpur.
