Jamshedpur, May 4: In a celebration of literary prowess and eloquence, the Annual English Elocution-2024 concluded with resounding success at Carmel Junior College, showcasing a diverse array of talents across poetry reading, story narration, and speech delivery.
Held in the school premises Students of Std. V to XII participated in various categories like Poetry Recitation (Std. V & VI), Storytelling (Std. VII &VIII), Declamation (Std. IX & X) and Extempore (Std. XI & XII).
The programme commenced with a prayer and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp jointly by the School Manager, Sister Jyothi D’Souza A.C., Principal Sister Sharel A.C., Teacher Moderator Tr. Lily Siddhu and Vandana Jain one of the judges.

Khusmeet Singh emerged victorious in the poetry reading category.
In Story Reading Anusha Shri showcased exceptional storytelling finesse, captivating the audience with her narrative prowess and immersive storytelling style.
In Speech contest Hargun Bhatia’s oratory skills dazzled the judges and audience alike, as he delivered a powerful and persuasive speech that left a lasting impact.
Impromptu speech event saw Vanshita Saini emerge as winner.

Vanshita Saini showcased remarkable spontaneity and eloquence in the impromptu speech event, delivering a stirring address on a topic unveiled moments before.
The judges for the competition were educators Nandita Sinha, Vandana Jain and Ashu Tiwary who appreciated the efforts of the participants. The winners were awarded medals and certificates for excellently displaying their oratory skills. The teachers in charge for the programme were Tr. Namrata Bharadwaj and Tr. Lily Siddhu who organized the programme.

In her address to the students, one of the judges, Ashu Tiwary lauded the participants for their outstanding performance and urged them to perform even better. Students, teachers and parents were applauded for their hard work and support which made the event successful. The programme concluded with the School Anthem.
