Jamshedpur, Dec 14: Carmel Junior College set the stage ablaze with athletic fervor as it hosted the Annual Sports Day on December 14.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Anand L. Menezes, Olympian & Tata Steel Senior Sports Department Manager, symbolizing the commencement of the Sports Meet.
This year’s theme, ‘Together We Can’ — Making the Impossible Possible, echoed throughout the event, fostering a sense of unity and determination among the students.
The field came alive with a kaleidoscope of colors as students from LKG to IV showcased their spirit through vibrant walk-pasts, colorful drills, and an array of track and fun events. From the energetic 50 meters race to entertaining activities like “Pick up Fruits,” “Hop a Little,” and the festive “Santa is Coming,” the students captivated the audience with their exuberance.
Parents, eagerly anticipating the performances of their children, gathered in large numbers, creating an atmosphere of joy and support.
The pinnacle of the event featured the felicitation ceremony, where Chief Guest Anand L. Menezes, along with the school Manager Sister Jyothi D’Souza A.C., Principal Sister M. Natasha A.C., and Vice Principal Sister M. Sharel A.C., honored the winners with well-deserved medals and certificates. The ceremony recognized and celebrated the achievements of the young athletes, acknowledging their dedication and sportsmanship.
