Jamshedpur, July 23: A Rainsabai Kirtan Darbar was held at Telco Gurudwara to mark the Prakash Parab (birth anniversary) of the eighth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Harkrishan Saheb Ji. The devotional event witnessed enthusiastic participation from children, with many young voices contributing to the devout atmosphere through Kirtans (devotional songs).
Among the performers, 7-year-old Myra Kaur Bhatia stood out with her exceptional performance. A student of Class 2 at Carmel Junior College, Myra captivated the audience with her confident singing and skilled harmonium performance. Despite her young age, she displayed remarkable command over rhythm and melody, leaving the audience deeply impressed. Myra, a resident of Ramdas Bhatta, Bistupur, was later felicitated by the Telco Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee for her dedication and talent.
The event was jointly organised by Har Ki Ustat and Telco Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee and drew a large number of devotees. A committee member highlighted the importance of involving children in Kirtan as a way to connect them with Sikh heritage and values. Regular Kirtan classes and performances were held in gurudwaras to encourage children an engage them with Gurubani and Sikh musical traditions from a young age.
