Career guidance workshop held for Kasturba students

Seraikela: A district level one day workshop on career guidance was organized for the class XII passouts of Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School at the Community Building in Seraikela on Friday. The chief guest of the occasion was the deputy commissioner of Seraikela-Kharsawan, Chhavi Ranjan.

In his address, the DC said the students should first make a career decision and then prepare a thorough plan to implement it. After preparing the plan, the students should work hard and avoid losing track of their goal, he said.

The DC said the students should not get disappointed by failure. Those aspiring to become successful through professional exams should keep patience and exercise perseverance, he said, while citing examples of inspirational personalities like Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Abraham Lincoln and Anthony Irwin.

The DC felicitated all 331 students who had passed class XII exams. He asked the trainers to motivate the students so that they could choose the right career and start preparing themselves to make their dreams come true.

Also present on the occasion, the deputy development commissioner (DDC) of Seraikela-Kharsawan Akansha Ranjan said the students should keep educating and bracing themselves for new challenges. Many other officials from the district administration gave motivational speech during the workshop.
