Jamshedpur, October 26: Loyola School, Jamshedpur hosted a career counselling session in collaboration with the Loyola Alumni Association and Samarthya XLRI, which catered to students of classes 11 and 12, providing them with valuable insights into various career paths aligned with 21st Century skills.

The programme commenced with a prayer and a welcome address by Father Vinod Fernandes, Principal, Loyola School. A brief introductory talk by 13 experts from different industries provided guidance on a diverse array of fields, enhancing the students’ understanding of potential career prospects. The session was moderated by alumnus Ronald D’Costa.

The experts represented a wide range of career domains including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning – Ishan Ahuja; Sustainability and Waste Management – Gaurav Anand; Public Sector Undertaking and UPSC – Shubham Singh; Media Communication – Manisha Singhal and Prabhakar Mani; Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking – Afrin Pathan; Social Entrepreneurship – Govind Goyal; Hotel Management – Swaroop Chakravorty; Fund Management and Stock Market – Shubham Pasari; Archaeology – Archit Bhatt; Sports Management – Mukul Vinayak Chaudhari; International Media and Advertisement – Partha Kabi and Adventure Sports -Ashish Saxena.

The event featured engaging breakout sessions, allowing students to interact directly with the experts and ask pertinent questions.

The enriching experience concluded with a commitment to follow-up sessions, including handholding workshops and master-classes, ensuring continuous support for the students as they navigated through their career choices. This collaborative effort marked a significant step in empowering the next generation to make informed career decisions.
