Capacity Building Programme on Elementary Mathematics at SDSM School

Jamshedpur, June 19: S.D.S.M. School for Excellence organized a two-day Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on Elementary Mathematics on June 18th and 19th, 2023. The programme aimed to enhance teaching skills and promote interactive learning methods. The resource persons for the event were Kumar Piyush from Divine Happy School, Bhagalpur, and Prasenjit Kumar Thakur from DAV Nandraj Public School, Ranchi, both associated with the Centre of Excellence (COE) in Patna.

The CBP commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Moushumi Das, the Principal and Venue Director, along with other esteemed guests. A total of 65 participants registered for the training programme, including teachers and educators from various educational institutions.

The primary objective of the training was to facilitate learning with an element of fun, employing different interactive activities. The programme also addressed the advantages and disadvantages of mobile phone usage in the context of mathematics education. The Capacity Building Programme at S.D.S.M. School for Excellence served as a platform for teachers to enhance their pedagogical skills in the subject of elementary mathematics. By incorporating innovative teaching methods, the training aimed to create a conducive learning environment for students, fostering their interest and understanding of the subject.
