Jamshedpur, Oct: State food and civil supplies minister Saryu Roy Thursday said the Mukhyamantri Canteen Yojana will be launched from Jamshedpur very soon. The scheme would be launched simultaneously at eight places across the city. Food would be served through mobile vans in Bistupur, Sakchi, Sonari, Mango, Kadma, Sidhgora, Burmamines and Jugsalai, he said.
Speaking to scribes at Circuit House, Roy said the scheme would be implemented by Annamrita Foundation, which is associated with ISKCON. �The scheme is being started with the view to make nutritious and delectable food to the people just at Rs 10. The food would be provided to the people at subsidized rate. The state government would give extra Rs 10 to the contractor concerned for each plate,� he said.
Roy said very soon the scheme would be launched in Ranchi and other districts. He said the government would ensure quality, cleanliness and hospitality at all mobile food outlets under the scheme.
