Jamshedpur, May 9: On the final day of nomination withdrawal in the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha parliamentary constituency, a candidate withdrew candidacy, reducing the total number of candidates to 25. As a result, the election will now require two ballot units.

To accommodate this change, a randomization of additional ballot units was conducted at the Collectorate Auditorium, Jamshedpur. District Election Officer Ananya Mittal, along with Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) from all Assembly constituencies and representatives of political parties, reviewed the process.

The assessment led to the allocation of additional ballot units to all 1887 polling stations in the constituency.
