Campaign intensifies in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur : With few days of campaign left for Jamshedpur election polling, candidates from the Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency, turned the focus of their campaign to street-by-street and door-todoor canvassing. Rising mercury failed to deter the spirit of candidates as they went on roller coaster ride wooing voters across the constituency.

Taking the lead JVM’s sitting MP Ajoy Kumar who was the CEO of Max Neeman International and JMM’s Niroop Mahanty (64) former Tata Steel vicepresident (HR&IR) are batting on personal interaction with masses in a major way and in the process of mingling with them to know their problems. BJP candidate Vidyut Varan Mahato is also taking leap in interacting with the masses.

“I am really excited to see the overwhelming response. I want to hear issues concerning the people and apprise them of our party’s vision,” noted Mahto.

Both the candidates have increased their interaction with the voters. Sources informed that now they are planning to intensify cam- paign in tribal areas to garner support of voters.

“I personally ensure that I meet people and interact with them to understand their problems. I am receiving overwhelming response. Usually, I visit rural areas and city outskirts to meet people and at times share light moments with them,” said Niroop Mahanty. He is working hard to mobilise party workers in his support, regular meetings are also being held.

The sitting MP Ajoy Kumar’s office is also busy chalking out campaign schedule and draws route chart with feedbacks from block level committees and polling booth level agents with help of Google maps. The booth level agents also informing the MP office about the problems prevailing in the area.

“Our senior leaders have asked the district committees to organise meetings and chalk out strategies for the success the candidate. We are raising issues for the benefit of the masses and we are confident that people will lend their support. Our candidate Ajoy Kumar is on door to door campaign and personally meting the vot- ers,” said a party leader.

C H Rammurthy, personal assistant to the MP said, “Ajoy ji is easily accessible. He interacts well with the people both in rural and urban pockets.

Political temperature is set to rise further as senior Jharkhand Vikas Morcha leader Babulal Marandi is expected to reach city in a day or two to ensure victory of party’s candidate from Jamshedpur.

The coming election has kindled great enthusiasm among the contestants. All major party leaders are gearing up to campaign here for their respective party candidates.
