Calcutta HC lifts stay on SERMC function

Jamshedpur, July 14: In a big relief for the functionaries of South Eastern Railway Men’s Congress the Calcutta High Court has lifted the stay on the functioning of South Eastern Railway Men’s Congress. In the order on Wednesday, the Men’s Congress can work and complete their tenure like before. 
The men’s Congress officials have welcomed the order of the High Court.
Incidentally, a member had approached Alipur Court challenging the online electon held to South Eastern Railway Men’s Congress on May 17-18, 2020 after which the court had in its order prohibited men’s Congress members from attending any meeting of the Railways officially. 
Men’s Congress had challenged the court order in Calcutta High Court. 
Chakradharpur division railway men’s Congress official Shashi Ranjan Mishra said that after the stay order by Alipur Court nearly 88,000 employees of railway were not able to keep their position before the railway officials through their union  and several issus like arrear with the officials and even important meeting with railway officials on hospital advisory committee and running staff could not be held.
