Ranchi: Jharkhand government has approved the Chief Minister Rural Road Project worth Rs 10 lakh for all panchayats of the state.
It has also given a nod to the Sona-Sobran Dhoti-Sari Scheme. The decision to this effect was taken by the state Cabinet during a meeting held today.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren presided over the meeting. The principal secretary of Cabinet Secretariat JB Tubid said under the road scheme, PCC roads will be built ineach panchayat in the state for the year 2013-14.
In another proposal, the governmentwillbe giving two dhoti and two saries to BPL and Antyodaya families at the rate of Rs 10.
Around 35 lakh BPL families will be benefitted by this scheme. The CM also approved the Chief Minister Insurance Policy for journalists.
National Insurance Company will conduct the scheme. The Cabinet today also decided to terminate the services of 33 government medical officers for remaining absent from duty.
