Burglary at closed house in Ghatshila

Jamshedpur, June 25: A case of theft of thousands of rupees in a house in LIC Colony of Ghatshila police station area has come to light on Saturday afternoon.

The house was lying closed for the last four months. After getting information about the incident, the police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. Theft in the house was revealed when a person living next to the house opened the house on Saturday to put the house on rent.

Then he saw that the latch of the lock of the main door of the house was broken and the lock was hung.

The house is said to be of Nityanand Thakur, a resident of LIC Colony. He currently lives in Bangalore.

According to Nityanand Thakur, he was informed over the phone that several silver coins along with gold earrings were kept in a tiffin box in the house. Its price will be around Rs 50,000. In this regard, the Ghatshila police say that the house was lying closed for four months, it is difficult to say when the theft took place. If the family members make a written complaint, then the matter will be investigated.
