Burglars target locked house, decamp with goods worth lakhs in Adityapur

Jamshedpur, May 7: Burglars struck at a closed house of Hem Narayan Singh situated in Tisco Housing Society near DVC more under Adityapur Police Station late on Saturday night and decamped with goods worth several lakhs.

According to reports, Hem Narayan Singh along with the family members have gone to Jiradoi Village in Chapra district to attending a marriage ceremony. Taking advantage of the same, burglars broke open the lock and entered the house and took away goods with ease.

Thieves also broke the almirah and fled with the goods. Before leaving for the tour, Hem Narayan Singh had hired a guard from a security agency for the safety of their house.

The guard was on duty for the last several days and during the incident night, the guard fell asleep and when he woke up he saw the main entrance gate broken and he soon informed the same to the neighbors. The locals of the area called up the Adityapur police and the relatives of Hem Narayan Singh.

The relatives soon arrived at the spot and seeing the almirah broken, they called up Hem Narayan Singh. The estimation of the goods stolen could not be done.

Adityapur police has started the investigation into the incident and have taken the security guard with them to Police station for interrogation.
