Bullet goes off businessman’s revolver at Jamshedpur’s Shanti Hari Tower

Jamshedpur, May 25: A bullet went off reportedly accidentally from the licensed revolver of Jay Parikh, a resident of Flat 3 24 on the third floor of Shanti Hari Tower near the Gopal Maidan in Bistupur. The bullet hit him on his foot. Immediately as the shot went of Jay Parikh fell to the ground and the guard on duty at the housing complex along with the driver of a car picked him up. He was rushed to the Emergency Ward of Tata Main Hospital where doctors were in the process of extracting the bullet.

The Bistupur police arrived on the scene and started investigation on the incident. According to a report, Jay Parikh was returning the revolver to its holster when the bullet went off accidentally. Meanwhile, the police will file an FIR and conduct investigations regarding the firing from the licensed revolver.

Jay Parikh runs a lathe factory in Burmamines. He is related to the famous Parikh business family. The firing that took place in Shanti Hari Tower has caused panic among residents in the colony. Jay Parikh�s elder brother denied any other motive behind the incident. He said that while Jay was about to sit in the car, his licensed revolver accidentally went off and the bullet grazed his foot. He said his brother was well. Police investigations have started.
