Jamshedpur : Ashish Mathur, MD, Jusco, today said the Union Budget 2018 will help improve the environment of ‘ease of doing business’ in the country.
“The budget largely hovers around on rural economy, farmers, social sector and infrastructure development (including education, toilets, rural electrification, rural roads, healthcare etc) of the country to a large extent. This budget also sends out a message to the rest of the world that fiscally, India is indeed a responsible nation looking to continue to tread the path of fiscal consolidation and improve the environment of ‘Ease of doing business’,” he said.
Mathur said the budget emphasizes on the farmers welfare, rural population, youth, poor and underprivileged, infrastructure, financial sector, digital economy, public service, prudent fiscal management and tax administration.
“Important issues like strengthening affordability of rural as well as urban low cost housing, funding for rural masses, child and woman welfare and healthcare , also focuses on education and capability development amongst the youths have been adequately addressed in this budget. Overall this budget is likely to ease the stress on the economy and contribute to the development of the country,” he said.
As per Mathur, the focus is mainly on rural economy, education, healthcare and farmers. It also has attempted necessary corrections in the taxation of long term capital gain as well as minor relief for salaried class. Overall, the realization of budget of this nature would also depend on effective implementation of the budget propositions and close follow-up of the same.
