Jamshedpur, July 7: Digital India Week was celebrated across the country, including Jamshedpur SSA, from 1st July 2015 to 7th July 2015.
Talking about celebration Sr. General Manager Telecom Department of BSNL, BN Singh said that engineering students visit Telephone exchanges on July 2 wherein students were demonstrated about the advancement in switching systems.
Fair was organized at around thirty places across the city where by customers were made aware of the various schemes of BSNL. We also rolled out 2G/3G BTS during digital week.
Singh further informed that customer was also made aware of various online mechanisms available in BSNL for telephone/ mobile bill payment, mobile top up, etc.
Talking about Digital India Week, GM said that BSNL is a facilitating partner/backbone provider, in Government of India�s ambitioius programme called Digital India.
Digital India envisages deployment of gigabit enabled information super highway through which various services such as e-governance, e-health, e-education etc is planned to be delivered.
