Jamshedpur, Aug 16:  Independence Day was celebrated at Tata Motors with great fervour. Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant Head Vishal Badshah hoisted the national flag at Sumant Moolgaonkar stadium in Telco and inspected an impressive parade.

In his address, Badshah said Tata Motors is getting ready for BS VI vehicles. He said work was on at war footing to make it possible. All company employees, officials and vendors are being trained, he said.

Addressing the gathering, Badshah further said that the company had set the target of winning the Deming Prize and reaching 480 MOP. He said the contribution of employees was expected to make it possible. He said Tata Motors was following world class safety benchmarks and appealed to one and all to follow the system. He said mobile phones should be avoided on the shop floor to maintain zero accident goal.

Speaking about recession in automobile industry, Badshah said the company would meet the challenges together with the workers and achieve its goals.

During the programme, outstanding workers and students were felicitated.

Other dignitaries included Tata Motors GM Manas Mishra, IR Officer Ravi Kumar Singh, Deepak Kumar, union general secretary RK Singh, president Gurmeet Singh Tote and Dr SL Srivastava.
