Jamshedpur, July 22: Hari Bol chants reverberated as chariot of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra reached their abode on Sunday evening.
Braving early morning rain, hundreds of devotees from across the city and nearby areas converged on Jamshedpur to witness the �Bahuda Yatra� � the homecoming of the Holy Trinity on their chariots today.
Amid beating of gongs and cymbals and chants of Hari Bol, devotees pulled gigantic chariots of sibling deities- Mahaprabhu Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra to their abode during the holy Trinity�s return journey.
Processions were held at eight different places in the city and adjoining Seraikela.
International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKON) organsies the biggest �Rath Yatra� in Jamshedpur.
On lines of Rath Yatra at Puri, the Rath Yatra Committee at Jugsalai has been taking out the march from last seven decades. Another city-based Rath Yatra Festival Committee took out rath yatra from Baridih.
According to mythology, on this auspicious day the three sibling deities � Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Lord Balabhadra and their sister Devi Subhadra wrap up their annual nine-day sojourn to Sri Gundicha Temple, their birth place and return to Srimandir riding their three majestic wooden chariots.
