Jamshedpur, Feb. 13: The 2nd Brahmotsavam concluded in Baridih Balaji Mandir on Monday. On the last day also, the pujas as part of Brahmotsavam for Lord Balaji commenced with Suprabhata seva at 5.30 in the morning.
After a havan conducted for Lord Balaji by the visiting ved pandits, followed by Sahasra Namarchana and Chakra Snanam (bathing of Lord Balaji and his consorts in a specially erected pond), Maha Purnahuti was organized and Maha Arati was shown to all the presiding deities at the temple. Prashad was distributed to hundreds of devotees who witnessed all the events at the temple. More than 200 men and women also took a dip in the pond as a mark of respect to the Gods.
In the evening, Pushpa Yagam was conducted (that is doing puja with 12 varieties of flowers)and Dwadasa Pradhana (offering of 12 varieties of home made sweets to Lord Balaji and his consorts Sri Lakshmi and Bhudevi) had also been performed.
At the end of these pujas, Ved Parayan was conducted and at the end Ved pandits were honoured by Sri Srinivas Shastry, Chief Priest of Baridih Balaji mandir for successfully organizing all the pujas and havans. Many followers who witnessed the evening pujas were offered prasad by the members of the Managing Committee of the Temple.
