Jamshedpur, Feb 6: Brilliant spell of bowling by Ace Indian pacer Varun Aaron and his teammate Rituraj Singh helped Jharkhand dominate Services in the first day of the Group C Ranji Trophy Match played at Keenan Stadium in Jamshedpur.
Singh made the first breakthrough removing Sumit Singh with just 5 runs on the board Aaron followed and took the wicket of Ah Gupta in the fourth over when the score read 10 for 2.
Varun Aaron and Rituraj Singh took 3 wickets each and bundled out Services for 230 runs after Jharkhand elected to field after winning the toss. Services were 6 down for 87 runs managed to go above 200 runs were HR Sethi scored 61 runs while DS Punia scored a good half century.
Nadeem and Quadri also took 2 wickets each during the innings. With 30 overs remaining in the day Ishan Kishan and Sumit Kumar came out to bat for Jharkhand were Kishan was bad luck run out when he was batting well in 47 runs.
Sumit Kumar was bowled by Yadav for 10 runs. Jharkhand closed the first day with 102/2 with Sp Gautam and RR Singh not out on 26 and 8 runs respectively.
With long batting line up in the dressing room Jharkhand would be looking to take stiff lead over Services on day 2.
