Booth level officers to distribute voter�s slip

Jamshedpur: Election Commission has instructed all booth level officers (BLOs) of the district to distribute voter�s slip. Earlier, the voter�s slip was handed over to the respective voters by party activists as well as BLOs.

But from this election, the BLOs have been especially instructed to do the job themselves. The deputy commissioner-cum-district returning officer of East Singhbhum, Dr Amitabh Kaushal said the BLOs had been asked to distribute slips well before the day of polling on 10th April and 17th April during the first and second phase of Parliamentary elections in the constituency.

The DC further said that voters�s awareness campaigns were on in the district. Village Education Committees and village heads are spreading awareness among rural women in various parts of the district and asking them to vote without fail, said the DC.
