Jamshedpur : In a shocking incident a body of a 15-year-old school boy was taken out from the Dimna Lake under Bodam police station area on the outskirts of the city on Sunday afternoon.
The body was later identified as that of Kishan Kumar Singh, a resident of Sakchi. He was a class X student of a government high school, Sitaramdera and was missing from the house since May 2 morning.
Circle inspector, Patamda, Anjani Kumar Tiwary said that there was blood in the mouth of the teen-ager and may be a case of suicide and also may be a case of murder.
In this connection, the police have taken a statement from Sanjay Singh, elder brother of Kishan before sending the body to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem.
The inspector said, they did not find any bleeding nor any mark of injury when the body was recovered from the lake, but when they brought the body to the post-mortem house, bleeding had taken place from the mouth of the boy.
“The bleeding is taken place in the case of drowning also and also in case of any internal injury. Therefore unless the post-mortem is not over, nothing can be said about the cause of death,” said Tiwary.
The police have found an ATM in the name of Sanjay Kumar Singh and a piece of paper having three mobile numbers from the pocket of the boy’s trouser.
Sanjay said his brother might have been murdered and dumped in the lake. He has also given a statement to this effect to the police.
Circle inspector, when asked, said they would register a case of murder against unknown in connection to the incident as the victim’s brother has expressed his suspicion that Kishan might have been murder. He would soon start an investigation and unfold the mystery behind the boy’s death.
