Jamshedpur : The body of a 27-year-old girl with her hands tied with a cloth was found lying behind Al- Kabir Polytechnic at Kapali near Mango under Chandil police station area on Tuesday morning.
The victim was a resident of Kabirnagar in Kapali, and was rushed her to the MGM Medical College and Hospital’s emergency where she was declared as brought dead.
The police suspected that the girl might have been strangulated to death after being gang-raped.
The police recovered the body and sent it to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem.
In this connection, the police have registered a case of rape and murder against unknown on the basis of an FIR lodged by the victims brother
