Jamshedpur, April 12: Amidst on going lockdown in the city, body of a 32-year-old man was found hanging from the branch of a tree in a forest cover behind Repeat Colony under Ulidih police station area in Mango on Sunday morning.
The deceased�s identity is yet to be established. He was wearing a shorts and a T-shirt. The deceased had fair complexion and seemed to belong to a gentle family.
As the news spread, a police team reached the spot and got it down before sending it to the MGM Medical College mortuary for post-mortem.
Officer-in-charge, Ulidih police station, Dhananjay Baitha said that they were investigating the incident and at present they could not say whether it is a case of suicide or a murder.
” We are yet to reach to a conclusion. From the inquest of the body we could not reach to a conclusion whether it is a case of suicide or a case of murder. Now only an autopsy report only can unfold the mystery behind the death of the unidentified man,” said Baitha.
The officer-in-charge said even if it is case of suicide which will come in the post-mortem report, they will have to try for getting the body identified.
” No one has come forward to claim the body so far. We have, therefore, decided to keep the body in the morgue for the next 72 hours so that the family members of the deceased may turn up at the morgue in search of the deceased during this period and the body may be thus identified,” the police officer said.
