Bloodbath feared over encroachment of UCIL land

Jamshedpur, Aug 31: Land along the Jadugoda Navrang Market to Mode Chowk has been the scene of ploys to encroach land belonging to UCIL. Encroachers have stacked bricks, sand piles, cement bags and trucks on both sides thus making the road narrower and more accident prone. The controversy arising out of the encroachment bid was reportedly resolved between the parties at the police station but according to information, the meeting, instead of amicably settling the dispute has worked to stoke the fire of animosity between the encroachers and locals fear of the simmering feud turning into a bloody confrontation. They said that it was high time for the administration to step in or the Jadugoda police to take stern and positive steps to free the UCIL land of the threats of encroachment at the earliest and ensure peace for the citizens.
