Blood donation drive at MNPS collects 68 units

Jamshedpur, June 27: Blood Donation Camp was organized at Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) on Tuesday. Dr. James Jojo (Surgeon, TMH) and his wife Dr. Vijaja Jojo (Ophthalmologist) jointly inaugurated the camp.

Total of 68 units of blood was collected during the camp. A team of doctors from Jamshedpur Blood Bank under the guidance of Dr. N. Jha, Medical Officer, Jamshedpur Blood Bank, helped in smooth functioning of the camp.

The programme received immense support from the School Management, parents, faculty members and students. The School Cabinet and Sunil Mukherjee from the Voluntary Blood Donor�s Association, Jharkhand, played an active role.

During summers there is an acute crisis of blood and therefore the camp was held so that maximum people can benefit.
Dr. James Jojo supported and congratulated the institution for organizing this camp every year, this being the 20th consecutive year. Dr. Vijaja Jojo elaborated upon the need for students to be responsible citizens and work for community programmes.

Akhilesh Dubey, Chairman, School Managing Committee congratulated parents and students for donating blood and expressed happiness about the school involvement in such community initiatives. Teachers Moli Deb, Keya Adak, S.M. Swain and others played an active role along with students for this noble cause. Students of the school alumni also participated.

Several Committee members and UP Sangh members graced the occasion. Principal Ashu Tiwary extended the vote of thanks.
