Jamshedpur, June 10: Lafarge India’s Jojobera Cement Plant (JCP) organized blood donation camp on Friday at JCP Administrative Conference Hall in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Jamshedpur. In all 183 employees, including contractual employees, voluntarily participated in the program and donated blood.
Earlier the camp was inaugurated by Animesh Naithani, deputy superintendent of police DSP), Rakeshwar Pandey, president, Lafarge India Employees’ Union, Manoj Agrawal, vice-president, JCP, and Bijay Singh, secretary Indian Red Cross Society, Jamshedpur.
Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Agrawal said, “As humans, it is our moral duty to donate blood and let me clarify that blood donation does not have any impact on our daily lives or health. In fact every person should donate blood at least thrice in a year because it helps save a human life in need.”
Animesh Naithani and Rakeshwar Pandey appreciated the initiative.
