Blood donation drive in Jamshedpur collects 100 units

Jamshedpur, Jan. 8: The 835th blood donation camp organized by the East Singhbhum Chapter of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) at Red Cross Bhawan on Friday. 100 units of blood was collected during the day long camp.

Enthusiastic blood donors thronged the camp venue since morning to donate blood. Technical team from Jamshedpur Blood Bank worked hard throughout the day in making the camp successful.

Earlier, Navin Kumar, Birendra Kumar and Ramesh Joshi from BP Oil Mills Co who sponsored today’s camp inaugurated the same by lighting the traditional lamp. They were all praise for the Red Cross Society for readily agreeing to organize the camp at such a short notice. 

Bijay Kumar Singh, Hony Secretary, IRCS, thanked all the blood donors for coming in large numbers to the camp site to donate blood.  All the blood donors were felicitated with a certificate and a gift.

Members and volunteers from IRCS extended assistance in successfully organizing the camp and all requisite Covid-19 protocols were followed during the camp.
