Blood donation drive at Hill Top School collects 32 units

Jamshedpur, Oct 17: A Blood Donation Camp was organised by Class 12 students of Hill Top School in collaboration with the Voluntary Blood Donors Association (VBDA) and the Jamshedpur Blood Bank on Saturday, October 17. The camp was inaugurated by the presiding doctor, Dr. R. K. Verma, Principal Mrs. Puneeta B Chouhan and the President of the Voluntary Blood Donors Association, Sunil Kr. Mukherjee.

It was an initiative by the students of Class XII as a part of their Value Education project.

The Registration Counter was handled by Naresh Kumar and Pradeep Ghoshal from VBDA and the students involved were Ankita, Kumar Saurabh, and Riya Mukherjee.

The Refreshment Counter was supervised by the students: Rashmi Choudhary, Anshu Singh, Bipasha Ghosh and Divya Settu.

The Medical Checks were overseen by Dr. R. K. Verma and Mr. Dheeraj Kumar assisted by students. Helping to fill out forms were Pallavy Tripathy, Riya Sarkar, Nisha Sharma, Ashraya Sunder and Chiranjit Pati.

The technicians involved were Mr. Dheeraj Kumar, Ms. Rashmi and Mr. T. D. Roy from Jamshedpur Blood Bank and Mrs. Sunil Mukherjee. Other arrangements were looked into by students: Abhijit Kumar, Parwinder Kour, Rohit Sen, Rahul Das, Sujoy Kar and Sanchit Khess.

The event was a grand success with 32 units of blood collected within duration of three & a half hours.
