Jamshedpur: December 06: The annual blood donation camp was organized in the RVS College of Engineering & Technology today. In this one-day camp, Six Hundred and fifty students, faculty members and staff of the college participated.
Earlier to it, the annual blood donation event was inaugurated by the Secretary of the College as well as the Jharkhand Pradesh General Secretary Mr. Bharat Singh.
He offered to the donor drinks and refreshments to supplement energy. He, on the occasion appreciated the budding Engineers for their concern for the society and their sense of responsibilities and duties towards the nation.
On this occasion the Treasurer of the RVS Educational Trust Mr. Shatrughna Singh motivated the donor as himself donated blood which was largely appreciated by the HDFC and other officials present. As a token of inspiration for the donors he distributed Water bottle Caps etc. among them.
Last year in a similar event RVSCET had been awarded the best prize as had donated the highest number of blood units in Jharkhand. The college was also facilitated by the district administrator with a shield to champion the social cause.
The Principal of the college Dr. Sukomal Ghosh, Secretary Mr. Bharat Singh and Treasurer Mr. Shatrughna Singh extended their thanks to the donors on this occasion.
