Blood donation camp at Chaibasa

Chaibasa, June 15: Indian Red Cross Society, Chaibasa, organized International Blood Donation Day at Chaibasa Sadar Hospital on Tuesday.

The blood donation camp was inaugurated by West Singhbhum deputy commissioner Abu Backer Sidhuque.

The special guest west Singhbhum superintendent of police Dr Micheal Raj also donated blood during the camp.

Addressing the Red Cross Society people, the DC said, �Blood donation is good for health.

The blood has no alternative as we cannot artificially produce it. Hence it is an important aspect of life to donate blood produced by our own body.�

The Chaibasa hospital itself is an evident that thousands unit of blood is consumed every year.

Now we have our own blood bank, Earlier, the hospital was dependent on Jamshedpur-based blood bank.

The Red Cross Society also felicitated IAS achiever Harsh Chiraniya and presented a memento to him.

The camp was organized by Banwari Lal Newtia.

The Civil suggeon Ugeshwar Uraon, Rajkumar Sah, Nilesh kumar, Vikash Dodrajka, Tapan Kumar Roy, Sumit Biswakarma Chinmay Dutta, Ravi Newtia and others were present on the occasion.
