Blood camp at Nuvoco’s JCP collects 263 units

Jamshedpur, Feb. 23: As part of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) month, Nuvoco�s Jojobera Cement Plant (JCP) organized blood donation camp at JCP administrative building conference hall in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, Jamshedpur and Jamshedpur Blood Bank on Friday. Altogether 263 units of blood were donated which is higher compared to last year�s collection.
The camp was jointly inaugurated by Manoj Agrawal, Senior Vice President � JCP, Rakeshwar Panday, President LIEU, Bijay Khan � General Secretary (Union), along with other Nuvoco officials and union members.

Speaking on the occasion, Manoj Agrawal said, �Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person � the gift of life. A decision to donate your blood can save a life or even several if your blood is separated into its components � red cells, platelets and plasma � which can be used individually for patients with specific conditions. Blood donation is one of the most significant contributions that a person can make towards the society�.

Rakeshwaer Panday, President, LIEU appreciated the efforts taken by Nuvoco and urged every employee and worker to donate blood.
