Chakradharpur, March 27: While inaugurating the Block Level Health Fair in Chakradharpur Subdivisional Hospital, chief guest, MLA Sukhram Oraon observed, “The present state government is bent on, among other welfare schemes, providing health services at all block levels so that people even in the remotest areas are not deprived of medical services and medicines. Formerly, the Health care programmes used to be organized at the district level where not all could reach. In this situation, the government decided to take health care to block levels so that all people, even from the remotest areas could avail of health care facilities. Health is the greatest asset in life and it needs to be cared for.”

Twenty seven stalls have been set up by the Health Department and other social organizations for health related problems and counseling at The Block Level Health Fair in the Chakradharpur Subdivisional Hospital. People were given health related information and provided necessary treatment. Kits were provided to filarial disease and TB patients.

“The state government has organized ‘Sarkar Aapki Dwar’ program at Panchayat level to ensure that welfare schemes reach the last person and now, health fairs have also been planned in similar manner. Such a move has been taken by the state government to provide healthcare facilities to each and every person. In the forthcoming days, such fairs will be organized at panchayat levels,” stated chief guest and MLA Sukhram Oraon.

Podahat Sub-Divisional Officer Reena Hansda asked people to avail of government’s health scheme benefits and get treated. Medical Officer of the Subdivisional Hospital, Dr Anshuman Sharma, Medical Officer gave detailed information of the Health Fair and about the services provided therein.  MLA Sukhram Oraon, Mukhiya Jyoti Sijui, SDO Reena Hansda, BDO Sanjay Kumar Sinha, CS Dr Sahir Pal, DPM Vijay Kumar, Medical Officer In-charge Dr Anshuman Sharma, Panchayati Raj Officer Manoj Kumar Sinha, Block Twenty Point President Tarakant Sijui, Deputy Chief Vinay Pradhan, JMM District Vice President Rahul Aditya, BPM Sanjay Kumar Singh, Kumari Indira, Ravi Bhushan Singh, Jagannath Prasad Mahato and other dignitaries along with health workers of the city were present on the occasion.
