Block-closure in Tata Motors Jamshedpur from Dec 23-25

Jamshedpur, Dec. 22: Tata Motors has announced a block-closure of three days from December 23. The plant head of the company has issued a notification for block-closure from 23 to 25 December. Weekly holiday is Sunday on 26th December. In such a situation, the company will remain closed for four consecutive days. From December 27, the business in the company will start as normal. Earlier, the block-closure took place on December 14 and 15. Prior to that, the closure was taken for three days from November 29 to December 1. In the circular by the plant head, the block-closure has been taken referring to the agreement between the management-union on July 31, 2017. During the block-closure, all employees of the company will get 50 percent salary for three days. Those who have to be called for work will be informed separately. The closure will be reconciled with the leave of the employees. The one whose leave is over will get only 50 percent of his salary. The production has been halved due to sudden reduction in work orders. Block closure in Tata Motors also affects its subsidiaries. Workers are affected due to lack of production in companies. About one thousand ancillaries of Adityapur industrial area are dependent on Tata Motors.
