BJYM activists burn effigy of Mamata Banerjee

Jamshedpur: District Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha leaders burnt an effigy of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Kharangajhar Chowk in Telco on Friday while protesting her demand for inclusion of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas in the National Register of Citizens (NRC).

Addressing the people, district BJP president Dinesh Kumar said the Bengal CM was trying to appease the Muslims, especially those who had infiltrated into India from Bangladesh and Myanmar. Innocent Hindus and BJP workers are being targeted by the Bengal CM and her henchmen, said Kumar.

The BJYM leaders took out a protest march from Ghorabandha Chowk to Kharangajhar Chowk. They included Satyaprakash Singh, Rakesh Singh, Pappu Mishra, Jitendra Rai, Krishna Sharma alias Kali, Anil Srivastava, Ankit Anand and Shikha Rai Choudhary.
